巴斯德氏菌科是和許多脊椎動物中上呼吸道共生的菌群。其中Histophilus somni、Pasteurella multocida及Mannheimia hemolytica 是造成呼吸道感染的主要病原菌；而此種感染尤其在牛群中影響很大，可能會導致他們生長速度遲緩、產乳量下降，甚至死亡。
及早發現巴斯德氏菌，就能夠有效降低菌種的傳播，因此CHROMagarTM 是第一個研發了一款唯一針對巴斯德氏菌的檢測培養基。

  Procedure Isolation & spreading method.
Incubation 18- 24 h, 37 °C. Aerobic conditions.		  
  Gain flexibility using powder rather than ready to use plates: Use the entire pack, or if there is a need for a smaller number of plates, just a portion. If kept under appropriate storage temperature, CHROMagarTM Pasteurella has a more than 18 months shelf life. This flexibility is essential to avoid the waste resulting from expired-unused plates.
